CSS Minor Electives


Students may choose their CSS experience by their elective choices in a specific discipline with pre-grouped concentrations. All undergraduate students are eligible to minor in Community Service Studies; you can declare the CSS Minor through the office of the college of your academic major.


The minor requires the completion of six courses (24 credit hours): three of which are mandatory, and four of which must be community-based Service Learning (CbSL) courses that fulfill the Junior-Year Experiential Learning (JYEL) Liberal Studies requirement. (Note: EL-CbSL courses are those which incorporate a minimum of 25 hours of community service into the course requirements.) Course numbers and titles in italics below are Community-based Service Learning courses. Students may choose any three of the approved electives provided one has EL-CbSL designation.


Students are free to choose any three courses (one of which has to be EL-CbSL) out of the designated electives from the following programs:
